Concept:

My response to ‘HALT’ encourages people to look at lockdown life in a more positive way. Viewing the work in still image, the heart appears paused. But in moving image, when inserting the pieces like a puzzle the heart comes alive and starts ‘beating’ – this suggests that there are multiple ways to look at the current halted state of the world and how your life goes depends on your perspective on life. COVID quarantine life seems to be static when viewed in a negative way, but with a positive mindset we can still live dynamic and active lives.
