Looking ahead, what do you want to do as an artist? Generally, what kind of impact do you want to have on the world? Specifically, what kind of work do you want to do in the future?

It is obvious that our society remains with countless problems, I am especially interested in solving those problems. Thus, I learned AP Psychology in my high school with the purpose of setting a basis for me in order to address those social issues in my art pieces.

In my work, With and Without, which can be viewed under the Individual artworks in the home page, describes how invisible mental disease is. After studying mental disease in Psychology, I understand how serious they are. However, people often disregard the seriousness, and think the physical disease as more dangerous. They do not provided the mental illness with enough of care and attention, even worse, for disease like Depression, many people won't believe in the patients because they "look" normal. However, this is the characteristic of the disease, that I portrayed the onset side as serious as it is, and the "regular" side seems exactly the same like the others who don't have a mental disease. In this way, audience can understand how invisible the disease is and provide more attention to this group of people.

Using art in this way can help remind and warn people in our society nowadays to pay more attentions to the social issues, and ask them to solve the problems, which is why I believe using art to communicate is strong and powerful.

Aside from having the heart for social problems, I have always have a dream of being a traveller. So why not become a traveling illustrator? I want to travel around the world, hear tales and folklores from every countries around the world. After hearing the tales, I will turn those tales into illustrations, children books, or toys; just like the way I "drew" my diary when I was young. Hopefully by doing this, I can spread cultures, and bring color from the other side of the world to kids and make them fell in love with art like I did.
