Social media are continuously developing and influencing people's behaviors. They curate images to document their lives online, developing fake personas that are far better than themselves in reality. However, many people believe the super idealistic images on social media are real. This imagery can become very toxic, ruin their esteem, as well as creating anxiety and self-blame.
I have chosen an Instagram campaign to highlight the problem in an ironic way, to make people reflect on a very common behavior and let them realize that what is shown online is far from a real-life image. Although as an artist I cannot fix a social problem, but hopefully by prompting it out, I can make a little difference.
